About this hunt

True traditional Southwest dry-ground mountain lion hunting — on sure-footed horses, behind freecasting lion hounds. AZ Lion Hunts / Todd's Guide Service has guided Arizona lion hunts since 1980, and Chris Todd has hunted mountain lions since 1978. Hunts run on horseback out of a base camp, from mountain desert to tall ponderosa pines — wherever the lion sign is. The 7-day Trophy Tom hunt is $6,000, fully guided one-on-one with Chris — all food and accommodations included. One hunter in camp at a time; bring one friend or observer for +$1,000. Trophy toms are 3+ years old. Centerfire rifles, handguns, archery, or muzzleloaders all welcome (loaner rifle available). A $3,000 deposit (50%) books your hunt, due within 7–10 days of agreeing on dates; balance due before the hunt. Not included: Arizona license and tag (non-resident license $160 + tag $75).
