Yes, all hunters must possess a valid hunting license for the state or region they are hunting. Additionally, in the US, hunters born after September, 2 1971 must complete a Hunter Education course or purchase a "Hunter Education Deferral," which allows them to hunt for one license year without completing the course. After that year, they must complete the course.
